![]() ![]() ![]() Some of these seemed crazy - “From what height would you need to drop a steak for it to be cooked when it hit the ground?” - and some were worrying – “When if ever, will Facebook contain more profiles of dead people than of living ones?” This was the beginning of ‘What if?’. xkcd quickly gained popularity and many followers of all ages asked Munroe some hypothetical questions that only he could answer with science. Later, while working at NASA he started his website xkcd, where he began drawing and posting science and maths based webcomics. Being a science lover it is no surprise that he graduated with a physics degree. He eventually realised that he had a talent for drawing comics - in his talk he explained that in school he would like doodling in his notebook – but he thought that it wouldn’t help much to earn a livelihood.
